“The single vineyard that this is grown in is named for the proprietors’ mothers, and it’s a wonderfully fitting homage: It’s a delicious wine in which toasty and sweet spice notes complicate flavors of grilled plums and ripe apricots, oolong tea, kirsch-filled dark chocolates, and espresso. A suggestion of brown-sugar-cured bacon wraps things up on a ripe-savory note.”
